Flora is an Emergency Medicine trainee who has held a long-standing interest in pre hospital medicine. She has previously worked with Essex and Herts Air ambulance and has gained experience with a number of search and rescue teams in the UK and abroad, including the RNSAR and AMREF in East Africa. She has provided medical support to expeditions including an Anglo Dutch kayak of the North Sea, and an attempted circumnavigation of Antarctica in a rowing boat, and has completed research into children’s responses to immersion and swimming in cold water.
"It is a huge privilege to have been given the opportunity of working with, and learning from, London’s Air Ambulance; a world class provider of pre hospital care."
Away from work Flora may be found running, swimming in cold water or playing music.
