London’s Air Ambulance is at the global forefront of pre-hospital care and we pride ourselves on working with partners who share our vision and passion for development and innovation.
Below are case studies of our partnerships with companies who we are working with strategically to further the aims and objectives of our charity – to provide our patients with the world’s most innovative and effective pre-hospital care.
To ensure 24/7 cover for London, the helicopter is replaced by rapid response cars after dusk or in adverse weather conditions. The cars are driven under blue lights and carry exactly the same team and kit as the helicopter, but provide an alternative mode of transport. We are proud to be working with Skoda/VW Leasing and we have recently upgraded our rapid response and fundraising car fleet.
Innovation and development of the trauma service has meant more equipment and medicine is now needed, which the roomier Octavia vRS Estate cars, with their 1,740 litres of space, can accommodate. We now also deploy the Super Estate on our Physician Response Unity and the fleet is complemented by two Yetis that support our community fundraising activities. Our charity has worked with ŠKODA for a number of years to ensure our rapid response vehicles meet the operational needs of the service. The new high performance and low emission cars are fast, robust and are fitted with additional safety features for emergency blue light driving.

London’s Air Ambulance has formed a two-year strategic partnership with VocaLink, who will provide the charity with financial and professional services support. Launching the partnership, the UK and international payments provider is assessing the ways in which to enhance the donation processes and systems and the associated technologies used by the charity.
