In Memoriam of Robert (Bob) Jackson 1948-2015

Tuesday 30th June 2015

It is with great sadness that Bob Jackson sadly passed away recently.  Bob was a driving standards manager who worked alongside London’s Air Ambulance for fifteen years.  Bob was pivotal in the creation of our driving unit and its culture. He was responsible for auditing our car fleet and validating our Driving Standards Manager, thereby setting the high driving standards expected from our medical teams.  He was truly dedicated to the charity and often went above and beyond his duties to provide additional support when needed.  Bob was a well-liked and highly respected colleague and he will be truly missed.  The team at London’s Air Ambulance would like to pay our respects and gratitude in all that he has done for us, and we offer our condolences to his wife, Sandra, and his two daughters.

Dr Gareth Davies, Medical Director and Trustee of London’s Air Ambulance, said: “Bob was a great character and true ambassador for the blue light driving community. With his support, guidance and training he helped shape the driving standards and culture at London’s Air Ambulance and his influence will be sorely missed.”
