Lucky Mill Hill lottery winner visits helipad
Tuesday 28th June 2016
This month we welcomed lottery winner Sharon Rose from Mill Hill to our helipad, in recognition of her support.
Sharon scooped the top prize of £1,000 in our weekly lottery, which raises vital funds each year for us. She is one of the 40,000 hopefuls across London who donate to be in with a chance of winning a cash prize.
Draws are made weekly, and each entry costs £1 per week. Players can win £10, £50 or £1,000. There have been over 2,000 winners since our lottery started in 2007. Top prize winners are also given the opportunity to take in the London skyline from the roof of The Royal London Hospital, which our helicopter sits on top of.
Sharon was accompanied to the helipad by her son Jonah. She said: “I started donating to the charity because I was shocked that there was only one air ambulance in the whole of London. I'm delighted that there are now two.”
Sharon added: “My highlight of the visit was learning even more about this life-saving service, meeting the operational team and seeing the view across London from the top of the helipad.”
Mark Davies, Director of Development at London’s Air Ambulance said: “Our lottery members generate vital funds that help us provide patients with the best possible care when they urgently need it. Every second counts in an emergency, as does every donation. We are hugely grateful to our lottery members for their support.”
By taking part in the London's Air Ambulance lottery, you too could be a winner one day.
