A year ago Kirby Stebbing from Upminster was knocked off her bicycle by a skip lorry and suffered very severe pelvic & leg injuries. Our medical team attended the incident in one of our Rapid Response Cars and splinted Kirby’s leg and pelvis and were able to administer immediate pain relief before escorting her to the Royal London Hospital.
Kirby has made a fantastic recovery and wanted to come and meet London’s Air Ambulance Doctor, Claire Park, and Paramedic, Scott McIlwaine, to say thank you.
Kirby said:"There weren't enough words to thank them for how they helped me. Their dedication and expertise is humbling. Until this happened to me I wouldn't have thought how complex and vital this charity's work really is."Kirby is fundraising for London’s Air Ambulance. You can support her mission by donating here.
