Oli Byard-Jones, known to his colleagues as “OBJ”, started his career in his early teens and gained his aeroplane pilot’s licence at just 18. He moved from fixed wing to helicopter operations in the 1990's having worked as an instructor at local flying schools. He now holds both a Commercial licence and Instrument Rating as well as instructor and examiner qualifications. Oli has worked for various Air Ambulance operations in the UK, Police units, charter companies and as an examiner.He now has more than 6000 hours of flying experience. Outside of flying he loves motor racing, movies, is learning Spanish and lives in Warwickshire with his wife and three cats.
