Job Purpose 

Representing London’s Air Ambulance to recruit long-term support through door to door recruiting. Members of the public can support the charity by joining our weekly lottery or through regular giving. This is carried out throughout London, an area will be allocated to you.


London’s Air Ambulance is the charity that delivers an advanced trauma team to critically injured people in London. The service provides pre-hospital medical care at the scene of the incident and serves the 10 million people who live, work and commute within the M25. Based at The Royal London Hospital and founded in 1989, the service operates 24/7, with the helicopter running in daylight hours and rapid response cars taking over at night. 

The team, which at all times includes an advanced trauma doctor and paramedic, perform advanced medical interventions, normally only found in the hospital Emergency Department, in time critical, life threatening situations. Missions commonly involve serious road traffic collisions, falls from height, industrial accidents, assaults and injuries on the rail network. London’s Air Ambulance has an international reputation for clinical excellence and delivers pioneering procedures which have been adopted across the world. 

The London’s Air Ambulance Lottery is well established and has contributed over £4.2 million to the charity since inception in 2007. For £1 per week members have the opportunity to win our top prize of £1,000. There is also the option of people donating to the charity through regular giving. More information can be found here.

Key Responsibilities

  • To recruit long-term support for London’s Air Ambulance. 
  • To encourage regular givers to sign up to Gift Aid where appropriate.
  • To promote London’s Air Ambulance and provide accurate information about our work.
  • To be responsible for the collection and safeguarding of personal details. 
  • To attend any training and meetings as requested by London’s Air Ambulance.
  • To maintain materials and notify London’s Air Ambulance of any updates needed.
  • To be a courteous, presentable, engaging and positive representative of London’s Air Ambulance, in line with the organisational values.
  • To invoice London’s Air Ambulance for work undertaken by the target date Provide proof of self-employment as requested by London’s Air Ambulance .
  • To follow guidelines and regulations set by the Institute of Fundraising and Gambling Commission.

Desirable :

  • Relevant experience in a fundraising or sales/marketing background.
