What is face to face fundraising?

Face to face fundraisers initiate a conversation with members of the public in order to sign them up to support our charity on a regular basis, either through a regular donation or membership in our charity lottery. Our face to face fundraisers are trained to communicate with the general public at private sites, such as supermarkets, and also visit individuals at their homes across London, in order to ask people to support us with Direct Debit.

For many people, this is the first time finding out that London's Air Ambulance is charity. We are a local cause and face to face fundraising allows us to spread the word among the communities we serve and secure the income our service relies on. This vital income allows us to plan ahead and keep our life-saving service running 24 hours a day, 365 days a year.

How can I recognise a London's Air Ambulance fundraiser?

All London’s Air Ambulance fundraisers will be in branded clothing and will be displaying an ID card with their full name and picture.

When and where do we fundraise?

Our fundraisers fundraise between the hours of 8:00am to 8:00pm. We carry out both door to door and private site fundraising in various venues and sites within the M25.

Do we use any fundraising agencies?

We currently work in partnership with Tower Engage and Gemini Fundraising, in order to carry out face to face fundraising activity. We also have a team of in house fundraisers that work for London’s Air Ambulance. We train all of our fundraisers ourselves to ensure that they always have the most accurate and up to date knowledge of our charity and that they comply with regulations and rules set out by the Fundraising Regulator when representing London’s Air Ambulance

Where does my donation go?

Your donation helps to support the life-saving work of London’s Air Ambulance, so that we can continue to be here for the 10 million people who live, work and travel within the M25, at the moment of their greatest need. Your donation allows us to provide effective treatment as soon as possible after traumatic injury, which includes performing open chest surgery to restart the heart, giving blood and delivering emergency anaesthesia.
